Well, it’s been forever since I wrote on our class blog, but I still have a few families that have not accessed our Remind App (@d2e2h) for reminders.
Tomorrow afternoon, we have our silk screening activity. Please remember a light coloured tshirt or other item you would like to print on.
Friday, we will have a class party, you are welcome to bring and share snacks and I will provide pizza for lunch. Then, Happy Holidays! See you January 9th! 🙂

Hello Parents and Families,
Sorry it has taken me so long to get this blog up and running, it has been a busy few months. Last week, you may have received a crazy, mixed up newsletter (my apologies). It had our remind app class code on it: you can enter this number: 289-270-0987, or text to @d2e2h, or email d2e2h@mail.remind.com ; any of these links will link you to our class to have a connection with upcoming events and due dates for assignments.
Also, if your child has not yet mentioned it, we are participating in our school’s Remembrance Day assembly in a musical skit titled, “A Soldier’s Memoire”, more information will be available about that soon.
Finally, report cards are being sent home on November 11th, and parent/teacher conference sign up information will be coming home soon.

It’s hard to believe that April is 1/2 done! We have had such a busy month of March and with all the snow, it doesn’t seem like it is already spring!
This is the final stretch folks! Our math unit for the next two weeks is Algebra, and Social Justice final scripts are due on Thursday!
Reminder that Friday is a PA Day and Grad Photos are April 20th!
Time is flying by! There is so much that has been happening between snow days, report cards and upcoming trips, this poor blog has been forgotten.
I have just posted a link to Khan Academy to help with fractions. It is a great visual to help you out if you need it.
A reminder that Wednesday is our trip to Famous People Players and the Spaghetti Factory! The bus leaves at 8am!

Friday begins our next Rotary unit, the Grade 7’s will be beginning Geography and the 8’s Visual Art. Our math measurement unit begins monday, that means Math test for Fractions and Decimals tomorrow!!
Mme. Simone’s class is hosting our Holiday Food drive, if you can donate, please do!

It’s hard to believe that we have been in school for 10+ weeks already! Time flies when you are having fun, I suppose.
In Language, we are still working on our “Unwind” novel study. We have met the three main characters: Connor, Risa, and Lev. Next week, we will be writing “friendly” letters to our favourite authors. In Mathematics, we are working on adding and subtracting fractions. We can add and subtract fractions with the same denominators and making common denominators.
